Vaccination

Many pregnant women and children under the age of five in rural areas of Tanzania do not receive vaccinations, even though the Tanzanian government has a very good plan to support vaccination services for pregnant women and young children, as well as those eligible for these vaccines.

PH-Tanzania, in collaboration with the government, provides vaccination education for pregnant women, young children, and those under the age of five to ensure they receive all necessary vaccinations for the benefit and well-being of their lives. We have been conducting this exercise and providing this essential service in collaboration with healthcare providers in rural hospitals. Additionally, we have been empowering volunteer youth Community Health Workers (CHWs) to assist communities in providing education, especially on the importance of these vaccinations for pregnant women and their young children, as well as those under the age of five.

PH-Tanzania welcomes various well-meaning partners who are in a position to collaborate, so that we can continue to provide these essential services and education to the community, especially for pregnant women and young children to receive all the necessary vaccinations they deserve.
